DEPUTY TREASURER

The City of Martinsville Treasurer's Office is accepting applications for a Deputy Treasurer position from individuals with excellent customer service, multi-tasking and prioritization skills to perform a variety of advanced duties in the Treasurer's Office. The candidate will possess experience in accepting payments, data entry skills, ability or experience in balancing cash drawers and preparing bank deposits. The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Requires: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of three years in customer service including automated and cash related duties.

ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

The City of Martinsville is seeking an individual to perform highly complex and computer intensive office work involving reviewing, balancing and posting accounts payable in the City's Finance Department Must apply generally accepted accounting principles to prepare/maintain financial records; must possess an attention for detail.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in governmental accounting, fund accounting or auditing and thorough general office experience involving the maintenance of complex financial records or related education, preferably with an associate's or bachelor's degree with strong emphasis in accounting.

Hire-In Pay: $27,025 DOQ; excellent benefits package.
