Regardless of the season, Martinsville Parks and Recreation host a wide variety of recreational activities for children, adults, and seniors.Main Office is located at the former Druid Hills Elementary School building, mailing address - Martinsville Parks and Recreation, 746-B Indian Trail, Martinsville, VA 24112. The Beaver Creek Reservoir, with a 1.3 billion gallon capacity, is the primary water supply source for the City of Martinsville. The facility is located approximately two miles north of the City near Patrick Henry Community College. The 175-acre lake also provides a recreational area for activities such as picnicking, fishing and boating. A Lake Warden (276-656-5179) maintains security and regulates recreational functions.
