Martinsville operates thirteen parks in a variety of settings. From serene natural beauty with a lake, streams, walking trails and tree cover to competitive ball diamonds and courts, Martinsville's parks offer activities for every level of physical fitness.  J. Frank Wilson Memorial ParkJ. Frank Wilson Memorial Park: Church Street Extension (30 acres): Tennis court, basketball court, service road used as walking trail, two picnic shelters, restrooms, swings, merry-go-round, spring animal rockers, square climbers, park benches. A 18-HOLE 60 Par DISC GOLF COURSE has been added to the Park. Click Here for Course layout. We are selling the Disc for $7/piece while supplies last. Another website, which gives information pertaining to events, pictures of the course and an open forum to meet other disc golfers - We have two horseshoe pits in the Park now! We rent out the horseshoes for $10/day with a $5 return fee when all four are returned on time. We rent out the shelters for $30/half-day and $50/full-day.

 Dr. Dana O. Baldwin Memorial ParkDr. Dana O. Baldwin Memorial Park: Swanson Street (15.5 acres): Ball diamond, picnic shelter, restrooms, tennis court, dirt basketball court, swings, dome climber, merry-go-round, concrete spectator seating (formerly the football stadium for Albert Harris High School), seating capacity approximately 1,000. We rent out the shelter for $30/half-day and $50/full-day.





 J. Russell Mason ParkJ. Russell Mason Park: Barrows Mill Road (6.5 acres): Multipurpose basketball/tennis court, picnic shelter, restrooms, swings, monkey bars, square climber.






 Chatham Heights ParkChatham Heights Park: Chatham Heights Road & Garden Lane (9 acres): Ball diamond, multipurpose basketball/tennis court, picnic shelter, restrooms, swings, climber, merry-go-round, steel spectator stands with aluminum foot and seat boards, seating capacity approximately 30. We rent out the shelter for $30/half-day and $50/full-day.






Jackson Street ParkJackson Street Park: Jackson & Church Street (.3 acres): Concrete mini-basketball court, swings, slide, ladder arch, merry-go-round, and park bench.







Southside ParkSouthside Park: Ranson Road (37 + acres), four ball diamonds (three lighted), dugouts on three fields, multipurpose basketball/tennis court, two restroom facilities (upper and lower levels), picnic shelter, concrete concession/broadcast facility, swings, merry-go-round, four sections of steel spectator stands with aluminum footboards and seat boards, total seating capacity approximately 1,000. We have two horseshoe pits in the Park now! We rent out the horseshoes for $10/day with a $5 return fee when all four are returned on time. We also rent out the shelter and ball fields. Shelters are $30/half-day or $50/full day to rent. Call for ball field rental fees.


 West End Park: Cardinal Lane (13.72 acres): Ball diamond, multipurpose basketball/tennis court, restroom, swings, spring animal rockers, climber.

 Oak Street Park: Oak Street (1.10 acres): Playground equipment swings & merry-go-round.

 Cole & Carol Street Park: Cole & Carol Streets (1.60 acres), playground equipment: swings, spring animal rockers, climber, park benches, picnic area.

 Victor A. Lester Memorial Park: Mulberry & Finley Streets (.60 acres), gazebo, and playground equipment: swings, slide, spring animal rockers.

Spruce Street Park Tennis CourtSpruce Street Park: Spruce Street (5.2 acres), ball diamond, two lighted tennis courts.







Beaver Creek Reservoir: Redskin Drive to Boat Ramp Drive (175 acre lake), 1 large picnic shelter, picnic tables, large parking area, fishing, boating (no gas powered motors), and his/her restrooms. The most popular sport fish species in the lake are largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, and yellow perch. Use of the park and reservoir are restricted to the hours of sunrise to sunset. A boat permit is required to launch boats ($3/day or $15/year). Contact the Lake Warden for permits and to report information 252-7766. Picnic Shelter is for rent daily - Fee is $50/day $30 half day, call 403-5140 to reserve. Shelter accommodates 60 people, his/her restroom, water access, 3 grills, 4 large trash cans, and electric outlets (no lighting). Call us to reserve shelter for your party. NEW!!! - CANOE RENTALS - $10/DAY + $10 KEY DEPOSIT WHICH IS REFUNDABLE UPON RETURN OF LIFE JACKET, PADDLE, AND KEY TO UNLOCK CANOE. Canoes are stationed at the Reservoir. Hooker FieldHooker Field: Chatham Heights Road (7 acres), lighted ball diamond, dugouts, two restroom facilities, air conditioned concrete concession/broadcast facility, two air conditioned clubhouses (one metal construction and concrete construction), wooden souvenir shop, sprinkler system, batting cage, steel spectator stands with aluminum foot and seat boards, concrete spectator stands (some with aluminum seats, back and arm rest), seating capacity approximately 2,500.
