02/03/16 Due to budget restraints, the City will delay the painting of the Lime Solo at the Waste Water Treatment Plant until after July 1, 2016. 09/26/16 Due to budget restraints, the City delayed the painting of the tank on Bethel Lane from Feb 2016 until after July 2016, but have decided on a date to rebid this project to January 2017. The City will solicit bids for the Painting of the tank on Bethel Lane and include the Painting of the 2 Clarifiers at the WWTP in January 2017.      Northside Neighborhood Improvement Plan for Dillard Street & Alley Improvements:

     Work consists of reconstruction of approximately 1850 feet of Dillard Street. Construction paving approximately 337 feet of the   alley from the intersection of Dillard Street and Ruffin Street and   improve driveway access to three houses located off Warren Court.

Bid 1:

The City of Martinsville is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide Professional Engineering Services for the Repairs for the Commonwealth Boulevard Bridge over the Dick & Willie Trail, as per proposal specifications. Expression of Interest Due Date and Time is Friday, November 18, 2016, by 2:00 p.m.

Bid 2:

Sealed proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, by the City of Martinsville Utilities Department to contract with a qualified firm/contractor to provide an Answering Service/Emergency Response Call Center for after hour calls.   Callers are typically reporting utility emergencies or service requests involving the departments of Public Works, Water, Sewer and Electric.

Bid 3:              

The Martinsville City Jail is requesting sealed proposals for the provision of obtaining a Security Control System Upgrade. It is the expectation that the interested companies have significant experience working in detention or high security environments managing retrofit and renovation projects in occupied and operational facilities, to install the Security Control System by June 30, 2017, and then a year to year contract with renewals for system maintenance, as per proposal specifications.

A Mandatory Pre-proposal Conference will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., at Martinsville Sheriff’s Office, 13 S. Moss Street, Martinsville, Virginia 24112. This is the Proposer’s opportunity to ask questions and to tour the facility. All prospective vendors are required to visit and examine the job site as a requirement to submit a proposal.

Addendum #3:  Deadline for asking questions has been extended to Thursday, December 22, 2016. A bid bond is not required. What is required is for your proposal to be valid for a minimum of 60 days. Performance and Payment Bonds are not required.
