02/03/16 Due to budget restraints, the City will delay the painting of the Lime Solo at the Waste Water Treatment Plant until after July 1, 2016.      Northside Neighborhood Improvement Plan for Dillard Street & Alley Improvements:

     Work consists of reconstruction of approximately 1850 feet of Dillard Street. Construction paving approximately 337 feet of the   alley from the intersection of Dillard Street and Ruffin Street and   improve driveway access to three houses located off Warren Court.

 Bid 1:          

The Martinsville City Jail is requesting sealed proposals for the provision of obtaining a Security Control System Upgrade. The proposal documents were updated on December 7, 2016. It is the expectation that the interested companies have significant experience working in detention or high security environments managing retrofit and renovation projects in occupied and operational facilities, to install the Security Control System by June 30, 2017, and then a year to year contract with renewals for system maintenance, as per proposal specifications.

A Mandatory Pre-proposal Conference was held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., at Martinsville Sheriff’s Office, 13 S. Moss Street, Martinsville, Virginia 24112. This was the Proposer’s opportunity to ask questions and to tour the facility. All prospective vendors were required to visit and examine the job site as a requirement to submit a proposal.

Sealed Proposals for this RFP will be received until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016, in the Purchasing Department, City of Martinsville, 990 Fishel Street, Martinsville Virginia 24112.

Addendum #1 The due date has been extended until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

Addendum #3:  Deadline for asking questions has been extended to Thursday, December 22, 2016. A bid bond is not required. What is required is for your proposal to be valid for a minimum of 60 days. Performance and Payment Bonds are not required. Deadline for asking questions has been extended to Wednesday, January 25, 2017

Addendum #4:  The City will provide drawing files or pdf files with information requested to quote this project. The tentative date is Friday, December 16th, but could be later. Due to this delay, the due date has been extended to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. See page 3 for date changes. This extension should be ample time to provide a detailed proposal. 

Addendum #5: The tentative date the City gave to provide drawing files of pdf files has expired. Therefore, the new tentative date for these drawings to be available is Tuesday, January 3, 2017.  The City still has the opening date schedule for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.

 Bid 2: 

Sealed Proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017, for the purchase of one (1) 18,000 lb. 4 Post Heavy Duty Auto Lift, and (2) 9,000 lb. Air/Hydraulic Roller Jacks, as per proposal specifications.

Bid 3:

Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017, by the City of Martinsville Water Resources Department to contract with a firm for two projects. The first is to furnish the work specified for the Painting of #1 and #2 Primary Clarifiers at the City's Waste Water Treat Plant, located at 801 Wind Dancer Lane, Ridgeway, Va. The second project involves the Painting of the Ground Level Bethel Lane Steel Water Tank, located on Bethel Lane in Martinsville. Both projects must be completed by June 30, 2017.

Sealed Proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9th, 2017, by the City of Martinsville to contract with a firm for the Grinding and Disposal of the existing Brush and Chip Pile including Removal from Site, as per bid specifications.
