City Finance Team receives the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
City Council recognized the City Finance Team for receiving the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the City of Martinsville by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States & Canada (GFOA) for its FY2009 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. This shows our citizens that your Finance Team members are watchdogs over taxpayer dollars. The Certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting & financial reporting & its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government & its management.
