By eCheck:  Real Estate Taxes,  Personal Property taxes,  or Utility bills

You can pay online by transferring funds from your personal or business checking account. There is a 50 cents fee for eCheck processing.

By Credit Card: Real Estate Taxes, Personal Property taxes, or Utility bills .

You can pay bills online with your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover/Novus card. A convenience fee is applied to this service (based on amount of the transaction). The minimum fee for the credit card is $3.00.

By Phone:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays: call the Treasurer's office (276) 403-5240 or (276) 403-5241 and pay most bills with your personal or business Visa, MasterCard, or Discover/Novus card. A minimum of 3% convenience fee is charged for this service.

If you have a touch tone telephone, you can also pay most bills with your personal or business Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover/Novus card by calling 1-800-2-PAY-TAX. Enter jurisdiction code 1010 when prompted. A convenience fee is applied to this service.

By Mail: Payments may be mailed to City Treasurer, P. O. Box 1023, Martinsville VA 24114-1023. Please be sure to include the bill, account, customer, ticket, or invoice number you are paying and write that number in the memo field on your check. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee. For your protection, please do not mail cash.

In Person: You can pay by cash, check, money order, debit card, or credit card at the City Treasurer's Office in Room 104 on the first floor of the Municipal Building at 55 W Church St in uptown Martinsville. Payments are accepted in person Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee.

Debit cards are accepted with a $1.05 convenience fee.

Credit cards (Master Card, Visa, and Discover) are accepted with a minimum of 3% convenience fee.

 DRIVE THROUGH

Drive Through: Payments are accepted in the Drive through lane at the Municipal building at 55 W. Church St, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee.

 DROP BOX

Drop Box: You can drop a payment by check or money order in the Treasurer's payment drop box on the side of the Municipal Building adjacent to the drive through window at 55 W. Church St.

Payments must be placed in the payment drop box before 5 pm on the due date on the bill. Payments placed in payment drop box after 5 pm. will be credited on the following business day. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee. For your protection, please do not leave cash. No postage is required to use the payment drop boxes.
