[ARCHIVED] City of Martinsville Honored with "Certificate of Excellence in Reliability"

Excellence in Reliability for Electricity

The City of Martinsville was recently honored with the "Certificate of Excellence in Reliability" from the American Public Power Association (APPA)The Certificate of Excellence in Reliability recognizes utilities that placed in the top 25 percentile of reliability nationwide in 2024, as measured against the U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) data. APPA helps public power systems track outage and restoration data through its eReliability Tracker service and compares the data to national statistics tracked by the EIA. 

The City of Martinsville is beyond grateful for the dedication and commitment our Electric Department has for serving the community and keeping our city running.  It’s a great reminder of how much work goes into ensuring a consistent and reliable power supply for residents. The Electric Department's ongoing focus on proactive maintenance, quick response times during outages, and dedication to monitoring and restoring service are all integral to achieving this level of reliability.
